Sealing strip display/cutting motor 5mm P15/Charging station P21

Soft sealing strip that is installed in the middle of the machine around the cutting motor and between the upper half of the chassis and the display on the smaller machines.
On the Nera models this is used as a seal for the charging station circuit board

Note! On the smaller machines there are two sealing strips if you unscrew the chassis halves. A seal around the outer edge and a shorter one around the cutting motor in the center of the machine. If you want to remove the display, there is also a short sealing strip there. 

This sealing strip is good to have at home if you want to check the condition inside the machine or do service. It must always be changed if you open the machine.

The seal is recommended to be replaced when:

• Repair of wheel motors (if they cannot be pulled out far enough)
• Battery replacement
• Replacement of the front wheel lock washers above the front wheel axles or their bearings
• Replacement of the front bumper rubber dam
• Changing the display
• Keypad replacement
• Cleaning the stop button
• Cleaning the hinge of the display cover

I always change the locking washers for the front wheel axles when I open a machine, as after 2014 they became galvanized instead of stainless. It often happens that the the washers crack so that the robot loses its front wheels.

The seal is installed with an overlap of approx. 15mm, just to be safe, check how the seal is fitted before you remove the old one.
